Glenaris B. Gaetz age 78 of Detroit Lakes, MN died June 24, 2013 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Glenaris Bernice Gaetz was born on May 14, 1935 in Danzig, North Dakota to Lawrence and Martha Kogler Quatier. She grew up and attended grade school, after which she helped on the family farm, doing a variety of chores including driving the tractor. On September 22, 1956 she was united in marriage to Myron Daschendorf in Ashley, North Dakota. Myron died in 1965 and on December 30, 1967 she was united in marriage to Marvin Gaetz in Sisseton, South Dakota. They lived in rural Detroit Lakes and Pat worked at Savoie Laundry and the Swift Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes. She retired in 1996. Pat worked as a volunteer with the Senior Companion Program for 10 years. She also enjoyed playing cards and gardening, and was also known to be a very good cook. She will be remembered as being a loving, strong willed, hard working, and independent person who was always there for her family when they needed her. Pat will be dearly missed by one son, Craig Daschendorf, of Ames, Iowa; five daughters, Cary (Mike) Byer, of Frazee, MN; Debra (Terry) Clark, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Myra Thornby, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Lori Danielson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Renee "Suzie" (Darryl) Bergstrom, of Detroit Lakes, MN; twenty three grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy (Ida) Quatier, of Sioux Falls, SD; one daughter in law, Kris Gaetz, of Rochert, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Myron (1965); second husband, Marvin (1989); one son, Jay Gaetz; one granddaughter, Ruth Ann Clark; one great granddaughter, Alexia Rischovd; two brothers, Wilbur and Ernest Quatier; one son in law, Bruce Thornby; one sister in law, Adeline Quatier; and her cat, Micah.
