Jesse Orvil Stilke, 58, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the VA Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota. Jesse was born on October 14, 1954, the son of Dean and Sally (Burrille) Stilke in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Frazee and Detroit Lakes. Jesse was united in marriage to Karen Weets on May 4, 1974 in Detroit Lakes. As a young man he enlisted in the United States Army in 1972 and served until is honorable discharge in 1978. Upon his return to Detroit Lakes, Jesse started his career as a truck driver. He worked for numerous trucking companies throughout the years, most recently K and K Trucking, until his health would no longer allow him to continue his career on the open road. Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing, jet skiing, camping, cooking and riding his Harley. He will be missed by his family and friends. Jesse is survived by his wife, Karen Stilke of Detroit lakes, MN; children, Lori (Brian) Buck of Detroit Lakes, MN; Dean (Liza) Litzau of Frazee, MN; Susan (Cesar) Rivas of Detroit Lakes, MN; Jesse Stilke of Detroit Lakes, MN; nine grandchildren, Bryce Buck, Kari (Tyler) Vandenberghe, Antonio Stilke, Lilianna and Reina Rivas. Mercedes, Abbi, Nicole and Colt Litzau; three great-grandchildren, Arianna, Kaedan and Hunter; one brother, Nathan Stilke, Desmond, TX; one sister, Sally (Mike) Nossek of Chapel Hill, NC; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Stilke-Hawkins, Carrie Barfield, Dean Orvil Stilke, Orvil Stilke and Steven Nossek. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, son, Chan Litzau and one brother, Mike Stilke.
