Lois Frey

Lois E. Frey age 91 of Frazee, MN died August 14, 2013 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Lois Elnora Frey was born October 14, 1921 in DeSmet, SD to Fredrick and Jennie Berry Moench. The family moved to New York Mills, MN when Lois was a young child. It was there that Lois grew up and received her education. On April 19, 1939 she was united in marriage to John Frey in Wadena, MN. Following the marriage they made their home in rural Frazee, MN. Lois worked for the Swift Turkey Plant in Frazee and Detroit Lakes. She also worked as a Supper Club Waitress for twenty five years and later worked several years for ConAgra before retiring. Lois was a longtime member of Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed feeding the songbirds - the Blue Jays and Black Birds she could do without. She also enjoyed Jig Saw Puzzles, word and number searches, and board games, including Aggravation, Yahtzee and Sorry. You often played until the dots wore off on the dice. She was also an avid scrapbooker as well as an avid Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy watcher. Her favorite places to eat were KFC and Pizza Hut. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Kris) Frey, of St. Francis, MN; and Duane Frey, of Wadena, MN; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Hassa; five brothers, Cecil, Darrell, Duane, Gordon, and Ramon Moench; and two daughters in law, Sharon Frey, of Frazee, MN; and Lil Frey, of Ogema, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John (1998); one son, Ronnie Frey; one great grandson, Johnny Stoll; one great great grandson, Jamison Brown; five sisters, Lou Ella Moench, Mardelle Moench, Joy Murch, Lavonne Erickson, and Ruby Olson; and five brothers, Loel, Fritz, Lyle, Bud, and Virgil Moench.
