Joseph A. Jenson age 95 died August 19, 2013 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Joseph Albin Jenson was born November 2, 1917 on a farm in Norman County. He was raised on a farm in the Ulen area and attended a one room country school. In 1940 he married Sadie Madson and continued farming until 1956 when they and their four children moved to Babbitt to work for Reserve Mining Company. He retired in 1981 after 25 years of service. Upon retiring Joe took up golf and they wintered in Boulder City, Nevada. Joe and Sadie enjoyed dancing, playing cards and fishing. Joe was an excellent carpenter. He built a unique home on Birch Lake. He built cabinets for homes and businesses, complete bedroom sets, hutches and desk. Joe and Sadie moved in 1986 to a home in town which he also remodeled. In 1995 they sold their home in Nevada to become full time residents of Babbitt. Sadie passed in January 2004. Joe spent the last few years in the Frazee Care Center He was preceded in death by: Wife, Sadie Jenson, son, Joseph D. Jenson; parents Inga and John Jensen and siblings: John, Carl, Clarence, Henry, Orlean, Ordean Jensen, Selma Bjerke and Hilda Haugness. He is survived by: three children, Marilyne (Ellert) Rathbone, Leland and Lois Jenson, Daughter in law Marlene Jenson. Seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and four siblings: Anna Sontag, Lillian (Knut) Wefald, Marvin Jensen and Anthony Jensen.
