Lucia Howard, 75, Bismarck, North Dakota, formerly of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at her daughter's home under the care of St. Alexius Hospice. Lucia was born on June 21, 1938, the daughter of Domenick and Nancy ( Guglielmetti) Williams in Dearborn, Michigan. She was raised in Pomona, California. Lucia graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario. She was united in marriage to Orland Howard on February 15, 1958 in Pomona. They resided in California, Montana and Minnesota. Lucia worked at Norby's Department Store, Stage Department Store, Activity Director at Becker County DAC, Surgical Tech at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes and a CNA at Marcus Daily Hospital in Hamilton, Montana. Lucia enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, watching true crime TV and was an avid reader. She also loved traveling, hunting for antiques, decorating, shopping and having a good tea party with friends and family. Lucia was a classy lady and always made sure she was well dressed for any occasion. Lucia is survived by her husband, Orland Howard of Bismarck, ND; children, Debby McPherson of Stevensville, MT; James Howard of Hamilton, MT; Lawrence Howard of Frazee, MN; Mia Davis of Bismarck, ND; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Lawless of Riverside, CA; Marlene Bender of Chino, CA. Lucia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Williams.
