Larry Wayne Rishovd

Larry W. Rishovd age 60 of Detroit Lakes, MN died June 29, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Larry Wayne Rishovd was born June 23, 1954 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Harry and Arlene Warren Rishovd. He grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1972. He worked for the railroad and also for Dynamic Homes of Detroit Lakes before attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he received both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education. He taught school in Henderson, Nevada for twenty three years before retiring and moving back to Detroit Lakes. Larry enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a very caring person who liked to help others. He is survived by his mother, Arlene Rishovd, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one brother, Gary (Carol) Rishovd, of Thompson, ND; one sister, Sandra (Mark) Williams, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Rishovd.
