Donald James McCaslin

Donald J. McCaslin age 77 of Callaway, MN died December 11, 2014 at Perham Health in Perham, MN. Donald James McCaslin was born April 12, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert and Frances Wollen McCaslin. In 1947 the family moved to a farm near Callaway, MN. Don attended school in Detroit Lakes before attending High School at the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN, where he graduated in 1955. Don served in the National Guard from 1960 - 1966. He farmed his entire life with his brothers near Callaway, MN. Farming was a huge part on Don's life and he worked extremely hard at it. He was also a kind hearted man who enjoyed visiting and eating out with friends and neighbors. When time allowed he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by three brothers, Robert (Carol) McCaslin, of Moorhead, MN; Bill (Julie) McCaslin, of Callaway, MN; and Tim McCaslin, of Callaway, MN; two sisters, Carol (Jerry) Musburger, of Sauk Centre, MN; and Shirley (John Peterson) McCaslin, of Fargo, ND; ten nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
