Marjorie Johanna Johnson, 96, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Friday, January 02, 2015 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Marjorie was born on February 23, 1918, the daughter of Theodore and Nicoline (Haaland) Stallman in Iona, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in the Callaway and Ogema area. As a young woman she worked at an area farm. Marjorie was united in marriage to Lawrence Johnson on October 27, 1937 in White Earth, Minnesota. They lived in White Earth, Moorhead and Fargo prior to making their home in Detroit Lakes. Marjorie was a home maker and was able to stay at home to raise their eight children. Marjorie was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and St. Anne's Circle. She enjoyed gardening and baking. She was known for her famous divinity candy and her homemade pies. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her children, Roderick Johnson (Betty) of Wilmot, SD; Joyce (Robert) Spilman of Detroit Lakes, MN; Kenny (Dorine) Johnson of Detroit Lakes, MN; Mary Haga of Mahnomen, MN; Darrow Johnson of Frazee, MN; Dwight Johnson of Detroit Lakes, MN; Konnie (Dave) Conwell of Peru, IN; Brian (Julie) Johnson of Detroit Lakes, MN; twenty grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Clark of Detroit Lakes, MN ; LaVonne Jensen of Appleton, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence (1977), four brothers and five sisters.
