Donald Allen Peterson

Donald A. Peterson age 75 of Detroit Lakes, MN died May 21, 2015 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Donald Allen Peterson was born September 28, 1939 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Oscar and Alice (Johnson) Peterson. He grew up and attended District 15 Country School near his home in Richwood, Township. He then attended the Detroit Lakes High School, graduating in 1957. He farmed with his father, and also worked for Tomlinson Lumber in Callaway, MN. He later purchased the family farm. On November 7, 1983 he was united in marriage to Glenda Gulseth. Don retired from farming in 2002. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and attending auction sales. Another thing he really enjoyed was having coffee with friends. He is survived by his wife, Glenda; one son, Michael (Melanie) Peterson, of Waconia, MN; one daughter, Lavetta (Timothy) Berg, of Crookston, MN; two granddaughters, Steffanie Berg and Katy Berg; one sister, Carol (Donald) Klatt, of Vergas, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
