Dianne M. Johnson age 74 of Detroit Lakes, MN died November 28, 2015 at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.Dianne Marie Johnson was born January 4, 1941 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Rudolph and Anna (Johnson) Brahmer. She grew up and received her education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1959. She lived and worked in Minneapolis, MN and Fargo, ND for a short while before returning to Detroit Lakes, where she worked for Lakes Office Equipment, and the BuyRite store. On June 8, 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert Johnson in Detroit Lakes. They made their home and raised their family in Detroit Lakes. Dianne worked as a teacher’s aid at the Lincoln Elementary School and later managed the World of Christmas store in Detroit Lakes. She then worked in the Becker County Recorder’s Office from 1988 until her retirement in 2005.Dianne enjoyed cooking, golfing, bowling, playing cards, and going to the casino. She enjoyed making donuts and sharing them with the kids at her daughter’s daycare. She was known as “Grandma Donut.” Dianne loved her friends and family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband Bob; one daughter, Jodi (Steve) Olson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one son, Jeff (Sondi) Johnson, of Plymouth, MN; five grandchildren, Emily, Nick and his wife Maggie, Josh, Thor, and Rolf; one brother, Sonny Brahmer, of Detroit Lakes, MN; several nieces and nephews; and an anxiously awaited great grandchild.She was preceded by her parents; and two sisters Betty Brahmer and Doris Waldon.
