Richard H. Linden age 89 of Frazee, MN formerly of Rochert, MN died January 3, 2016 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Richard Homer Linden was born December 14, 1926 in Rochert, MN to Carl and Clara (Herfindahl) Linden. He attended Country School near his home and as a young man farmed and cut wood in the Rochert area. Richard served in the United State Army from 1951-1953 and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. On June 30, 1951 he was united in marriage to Helen Anderson in Callaway, MN. Following his discharge from the Army they moved back to Rochert and Richard worked for Ernie Anderson Gravel and Redi Mix for many years. On July 3, 1981 he was united in marriage to Carol Fingalson in Detroit Lakes, MN. He later cut pulp wood with his brother Pete, operated a Road Grader for Christenson Blade Service and dug many basements in the area. Richard loved being outdoors. He enjoyed cutting wood, mushroom hunting, Montana Elk hunting, and fishing. He was also very musical and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He also had a love for children and his dogs. He and Carol enjoyed drives on the Tamarac Refuge. He is survived by his wife Carol; two sons, Ronald (Mary) Linden, of Rochert, MN; and Daniel (Julie) Linden, of Halstad, MN; five daughters, Sharon (Gary) Jenson, of Rochert, MN; Diane (Gary) Haisley, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Phyllis (Mark) Johnson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Jamie Fitzpatrick, of Belton, MO; and Shari Bellcourt, of Montevideo, MN; twenty five grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; and one brother, Peter (Luella) Linden, of Rochert, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandson, Weston Coalwell and one great granddaughter, Evie Diane Haisley.
