Delbert Walton Peck

Delbert W. Peck age 89 of Detroit Lakes, MN died March 28, 2016 at Essentia Health – Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN. Delbert Walton Peck was born March 17, 1927 in Redlands, CA to LeRoy and Ruth March Peck. He grew up and received his education there, graduating from high school in Redlands. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for thirty four years as a dispatcher. He also served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. ON July 25, 1964 he was united in marriage to Helga Holm in Las Vegas, NV. He retired and they moved to Detroit Lakes in 1979. Delbert served in the Civil Air Patrol for many years, and also on the Monterey Park Police Auxiliary. He was also an avid ham radio operator, and was a member of the ham operator club in Detroit Lakes. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed his big pickup truck and watching the Minnesota Twins. He is survived by his wife Helga; and was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Frances Munn.
