Lynn M. Alexander

Lynn M. Alexander age 56 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Saturday February 18, 2017 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Lynn Marie Alexander was born July 16, 1960 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Richard and Patricia (Graves) Housholder. She grew up and received her education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1978. On October 4, 1980 she was united in marriage to Michael Alexander in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in Grand Forks, ND and in California while Michael served in the Air Force. In 1983 they moved back to the Detroit Lakes area. Lynn loved music and played the piano beautifully. At one time she was very active in the music ministry at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee, MN. She also enjoyed traveling. Among her favorite places were Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She also enjoyed the lakes and riding motorcycle with her husband. Lynn especially loved spending time with her family and granddaughter. She also loved tending to the flowers in her garden & enjoyed cleaning. She is survived by her husband, Michael; one daughter, Lindsay (Jon) Weisgerber, of West Fargo, ND; one son, Matt (Brittany) Alexander, of Moorhead, MN; one granddaughter, Hanna Alexander; one sister, LeeAnn (Kevin Hunt) Larsen, of Maple Grove, MN; several nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters in law; and her father and mother in law, John and Anne Alexander, of Detroit Lakes, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bruce Housholder and John Housholder. Memorial services will be on Thursday February 23, 2017; 2:00 P.M. at the Jesus is Real Ministries, in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN.
