Richard P. Molstre age 77 of Detroit Lakes, MN died June 22, 2017 at his residence. Richard Peter Molstre was born July 21, 1939 in Glenwood, MN. He grew up and attended school in Glenwood. On May 5, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sheila Flesch in Aberdeen, SD. They made their home in Wisconsin for a short time before moving to Detroit Lakes. Over the years Richard drove truck and worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with people. He was also known for having a good sense of humor, and being a jokester. He is survived by two daughters, Janet (Tommy) Riggle, of Wyoming; and Cary (Chris) Branchaud, of Dent, MN; two sons, Richard Molstre, of Audubon, MN; and Kenneth (Valerie) Molstre, of Oregon; five grandchildren, Jazzmin, Autumn, Anna, Grace, and Edward; three brothers, Gary (Sandra) Molstre, of Dilworth, MN; Ben Molstre, of Horace, ND; and David (Vicki) Molstre, of Horace, ND; two sisters, Victoria (Don) Batchelder, of CA; and Linda (Vern) Tiede, of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Phyllis Molstre.
