Doris DeVall

Doris A. DeVall age 79 of Ice Cracking Lake, Ponsford, MN died August 5, 2017 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. Doris Ann DeVall was born Jan. 6, 1938 in White Earth, MN the eldest of twelve children to Allen and Margaret Smith. She received her education at St. Benedict’s Mission School. She met and married Robert DeVall on April 23, 1957. They had five children and traveled for work until 1963, when they settled in Minneapolis. They moved to the Ice Cracking Lake area in 1975, where she spent the last forty two years enjoying her pets, hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, sewing, and an occasional trip to the casino. Doris is survived by her husband Robert; four sons, Roque, Roderick, Michael, and Richard; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; seven sisters; and two brothers. Doris was preceded in death by one daughter, Corrine DeVall; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; two brothers; and her parents.
