Ann Charlotte Shepard was born November 11, 1936 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Louis and Katherine (Lounberg) Shepard. She went to school in Caledonia, MN until 1949 when her father died, they moved back to Minneapolis to be closer to family. After graduating high school, Ann attended the University of Minnesota, receiving a degree in Nursing. She went to work for the American Red Cross where she was stationed in Seoul, Korea.

When she returned stateside, she joined the Navy, taught nursing at the University of Minnesota for several years, and worked for and retired from the Veteran’s Administration in Minneapolis.

Ann was an avid Naturalist, traveler and spoke several languages and was active in her church.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother George. And survived by many close relatives.
