Arnold Richard Blauert, Sr.

Arnold Richard Blauert, Sr. passed away on April 6, 2025 at the age of 93. Arnold was born on April 22,1931, to Richard and Anna S. Blauert of Toad Lake Township.

Arnold married Mildred Elaine Sarvie on September 3, 1956. Arnold resided and worked on the family farm with his wife, Mildred and mother, Anna S. Blauert, and later his 8 children also helped. He also worked on turkey farms in the area and later drove a paper route.

Arnold was very active in his church, St. John’s Height of Land. Through out the years, he held various offices in the church from chairman, elder and trustee. He was also willing to do whatever he was asked to help the church. He also enjoyed hunting with his sons in the fall and fishing with his wife when time permitted. He enjoyed spending time with his family and later with his grandkids as they came along. His grandkids always knew “Grandpa” had Big Red gum in his pockets and that they could get a piece from him when they asked. He will be missed by all who knew him with big smile and kind heart.

Arnold is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia (LeGros) Blauert; son, Bruce Alan Blauert; and his parents, Richard and Anna Blauert and sister and brother in law Paul and Ethel Nelson and brother in law Donald and Harold Sarvie.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Blauert, 6 children; Kathleen (Roger) Blauert, Arnold Jr, (Lydia) Blauert, Steven (Shelly) Blauert, Deanna (Pat) Stottlemyer, Annette (Allan) Wendt, Richard (Tina) Blauert, and Pamela (Matthew) Johnson, son in-law Marc LeGros, 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and one on the way, 2 brothers, Kenneth (Sandra) Blauert and Marvin (Dolly) Blauert, brother-in-law, Edwin Sarvie, sister in law Charlotte Sarvie and nieces and nephews.
