Dennis "Deadeye" Wayne Hanson

Dennis W. “Deadeye” Hanson age 68 of Detroit Lakes, MN died March 8, 2022 at his residence.

Dennis Wayne Hanson was born December 9, 1953 in Moorhead, MN to Roy and Margaret (Ash) Hanson. He grew up and attended school in Frazee and Detroit Lakes. On September 7, 1974 he was united in marriage to Janice Malvick. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. Over the years Dennis drove truck for Strata, Border States Paving, Lakes Paving, and Driveway Services. He also worked as a Blackjack dealer at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN.

Dennis enjoyed visiting with people, telling stories, and eating chocolate. He also loved playing games, his favorite being pool.

He is survived by his former wife Janice Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; one daughter, Kelly (Brian Bullock) Hanson, of Barstow, CA; one son, Casey Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sisters, Bonnie Danzeisen, of New York Mills, MN; and Dawn (Don) Pechia, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his Father, Roy Hanson.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday March 19, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
