Gary W. Jones age 71 of Audubon, MN died April 17, 2019 at his residence. Gary Wayne Jones was born August 23, 1947 in Fargo, ND to Charles and Mayvis (Abrahamson) Jones. He grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1965. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1966 – 1968 during the Vietnam War as a member of the 101st Airbourne Division and fought in the Tet Offensive. Following his discharge he moved to Nevis, MN where he worked various jobs. On June 30, 1973 he was united in marriage to Mary Hogan in Akeley, MN. They made their home in Minneapolis, MN and Gary attended the Hennepin County Technical College. On July 22, 1973 He and Mary attended a Billy Graham Crusade, which was a life changing experience for him. In 1975 they moved back to the Fargo-Moorhead area and he started a forty year career in the printing business. In 1982 they moved to their current residence on Big Cormorant Lake. In May of 1989 Gary became a friend of Bill. He retired in 2015 from Forum Communications. Gary was avid deer hunter and MN Viking fan. He also enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, and many other outdoor activities. He mostly enjoyed being around his family and rarely missed attending their sporting events, school programs and activities. He is survived by his wife Mary; one daughter, Johanna Jones, of Lake Park, MN; one son, Sam (Kayla) Jones, of Detroit Lakes, MN; daughter by choice, Amy (Jason) Rosing, of Audubon, MN; four grandchildren, Jacob Rosing, Myah Rosing, Isaac Jones, and Lucas Jones; one brother, Mike (Carol) Jones, of Nevis, MN; one sister Karen (Jon) Rich, of Nevis, MN; Mother in Law, Margaret Hogan, of Fargo, ND; and several sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father in law, Ed Hogan; one brother, Charlie Jones; and one sister in law, Deanie Bredon.
