Ila Ruth Koeppe

Ila Ruth Koeppe, 82 passed away May 18th, 2019 at Oak Crossing Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Ila was born July 4th, 1936 in Atwater, MN to Nels and Alice Nordstrom.  She grew up in rural Claire City, SD.  She married Myron Koeppe in 1955, and they raised 6 children in Lidgerwood, ND.  She worked for many years at GTA Feed in Lidgerwood.  In 1991, she moved to Wahpeton, ND and managed Super 8 motel.  In 1994 she moved to Custer, SD and worked for her brother Paul at Custer Mountain Campground. She retired in Rapid City, SD, then moved to Detroit Lakes, MN in 2013. Ila is survived by her 6 children:  Curtis (Jannah) Koeppe, Grand Haven, MI; Craig (Susan) Koeppe,  Fargo, ND; Cherlynne (Michael Rocheleau), Tyverton, RI; Christi Baumann , Omaha, NE; Chelle Johnson, Alva FL, Candace (Wayne) Johnson, Detroit Lakes, MN; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers:  Paul (Marcie) Nordstrom, Fort Pierre, SD, Joe Nordstrom, Sioux Falls, SD; 2 sisters:  Jeannie Farley, Baltic, SD, Carolynne Neumann, Sioux Falls, SD. There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
