Jack was born on August 29, 1944 to Jack E. and Norma (Fiskum) Burzette. He was raised in Deer Creek, Parkers Prairie, and Perham, graduating with the class of 1962 from Perham High School. Jack married Pat Carlisle on September 9, 1972. In 1975, their daughter Brigette was born. Jack worked in route sales for many years, working for Bunny Bread, Holsum Bread, and Frito Lay. At the time of his retirement, he was working for the Becker County Highway Department, on the survey crew. In 2000, Jack and Pat moved to Salome, AZ. While Pat taught Preschool and Kindergarten, Jack was at home reading the newspaper, playing slot machine games on the computer, or golfing. He would return to Detroit Lakes to work with BCHD survey crew each summer from 2001 to 2009. In 2015, they moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family. After his wife Pat’s death in 2018, Jack moved to Crookston and was a resident in the Memory Care Unit of The Villa St. Vincent. Jack enjoyed watching his grandson Cade’s sporting activities, going to the casino, and watching crime dramas on TV. Jack is survived by daughters: Brigette (Angel) DeLeon of Crookston, MN; Deanie (Dan) Watson of Detroit Lakes; son: Jayme of New York, NY; brother: Michael (Karen) of Sartell, MN; brothers-in-law: Orville (Darlene) Carlisle of Vergas, MN, Curtis (Darlene) Carlisle of St. Cloud, MN, Terry (Betty) Carlisle of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Myron (Marie) Carlisle of Hazen, ND; sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Larry) Olson of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Betty Carlisle of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandsons: Cade DeLeon, Kyle (Katie)Watson, and Kody Watson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; his parents, Jack E. and Norma; his sister, Mary Francis; his brother, Jim Burzette; brother-in-law, Kenneth Carlisle; nephew, Jason Carlisle; and several aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff that took such great care of Jack during his stay at The Villa St. Vincent.
