Jeanne E Dahring

Jeanne E. Dahring age 87 of Perham, MN formerly of Detroit Lakes, MN died May 23, 2018 at Perham Living in Perham, MN. Jeanne Evelyn Dahring was born August 8, 1930 in Lakeview Township, rural Detroit Lakes, MN to William and Anne (Lind) Wagner. She attended country school near her home and later attended high school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1948. On June 2, 1950 she was united in marriage to Richard Lewis Dahring. On the family farm they raised nine children and shared in the lives of all the grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, picnics, and pot lucks in the farm yard, playing cards and board games, and celebrating holidays together. Jeanne will be remembered for her baking skills (without recipes), warm smile, quick wit (one liners), graciousness, and the ability to listen. While living in the Burlington household at Perham Living she kept herself busy with bingo, games, and other activities. Jeanne is survived by five sons, Wayne (Bonnie) Dahring, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Jerald (Theresa) Dahring, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Paul Dahring; Allen (Krystal) Dahring, of Vergas, MN; and Erland (Lisa) Dahring, of Frazee, MN; three daughters, Cathy Smith-Henderson, of Fargo, ND; Lynn Dahring, of St. Michael, MN; and Marlene (John) Bartikoski, of Duluth, MN; twenty grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (1978); one son, Jeff (2014); two brothers, Ron Wagner and Alan Wagner; one sister, Shirley Wothe; and her parents.
