Kenneth Edward Wagner, 73, of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away on March 4, 2021 in Fargo, ND. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Kenny would bring the fun to any room he entered.
A life-long resident of Minnesota and North Dakota, Kenneth (lovingly known as Kenny or Kenny Boy) attended grade school in Beardsley & Graceville, MN. He would eventually move to Wheaton, MN where he graduated high school in 1966. He then attended Alexandria Tech School and graduated in 1967.
He married Valerie Marlow on Oct 5th, 1968. After a few months of living in California they moved back to Minnesota in 1969. While he worked at Tractor Supply in Fargo, ND, they welcomed their first son Joseph Kenneth Wagner on July 13, 1969. Later the family moved to West Fargo, ND where their second son Robert Scott Wagner was born on June 14, 1973. Kenny worked at Fargo Glass & Paint until he got a job with Burlington Northern Railroad. They had their third son Daniel John Wagner on May 24, 1977. After a 30+ year career on the railroad, Kenny retired as a Conductor in 2010.
During his retirement he spent countless hours gardening or raising ducks, geese, and chickens on his hobby farm. He loved to spend time with family and friends playing cards, dancing, fishing, listening to country music, and participating in swap-n-shop. Possibly his favorite hobbies, however, were entertaining his family and teaching others about his passions.
Kenny was proceeded in death by his parents Eldora and John Wagner, and his brother Eugene.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Valerie Wagner and brothers Donald, and Gordon. His sons Joseph, Robert, and Daniel. His grandchildren Sydney, Karson, Autumn, Jack, Walker, Logan, and Cameron. His many in-laws.
