Larry Charles Korth

Larry C. Korth age 68 of Davenport, FL, formerly of Fargo, ND died September 23, 2018 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN.Larry Charles Korth was born March 19, 1950 in Breckenridge, MN to Elroy and Anna Korth. He grew up and received his education in Breckenridge, graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1968. In 1969 he enlisted in the Army, where he served for the next twenty six years. In 1970 he was united in marriage to Deborah Jacobson in Wahpeton, ND. To this marriage two sons were born, Jeremy and Nicholas. On November 27, 1998 he was united in marriage to Mary Larson in Wild Rice, ND. They made their home in West Fargo, ND. Larry worked as a project manager for U.S. Bank in Fargo. He retired in 2006. Following their retirement they sold their home and traveled the country. They settled in Davenport, FL and spent their summers in Detroit Lakes.Larry was a very loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He had a very kind soul. He was also very handy and enjoyed building things. He always wanted to have a project going. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was known to have a goofy sense of humor.He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Jeremy (Anne) Korth, of Moorhead, MN; and Nicholas (Amanda) Korth, of Fargo, ND; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kali, Kyleigh, Landon, and Hailey; three brothers, Tom (Joyce) Korth, Mike (Sandy) Korth, and Steve (Julie) Korth; one sister, Debra (Jeff) Grawe; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and countless friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Larry's donation of eyes will give the gift of sight to two recipients.Funeral Services will be on Thursday, September 27, 2018; 2:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
