Marian Lois Wendt was born August 25, 1939 in Evergreen township, Frazee, Minnesota to Elmer and Clara (Ziemann) Quittschreiber. She passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021 at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
She was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Evergreen Township on October 1, 1939. Marian was confirmed on June 1, 1952 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee. She attended country school, District 71, and Frazee High School class of 1957.
On June 16, 1957 she was united in marriage to Roman Wendt. This union was blessed with three children.
Marian was as a 4-H leader, secretary for Becker County NFO and treasure of Becker County ADA. She was very active in her church: choir, piano/organ, council, Sunday School, VBS, LWML, and altar care.
In 1988 Marian went to Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech college and received an accounting degree. She worked for a veterinary clinic in Detroit Lakes for 5 years. She enjoyed family, church, dancing, farming, being outdoors, gardening, flowers, baking, and traveling.
Marian is survived by her son: Allan (Annette) Wendt of Frazee; daughter: Melanie (Eric) Erickson of Frazee; grandchildren: Amanda (Ryan), April (Paul), Alisa (Abe), Andrew (Kim), and Alexis Wendt; Arron, Colby, and Cory Erickson; great-grandchildren: Audrey, Alex, and Addison Bentley, Faith Bartholomew, and Hadley Wendt. Sisters: Donna Schwarzrock, and Caroline (Don) Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roman Wendt (2020); son: Ronald Wendt; parents: Elmer and Clara Quittschreiber; sister: Rose Wendt.
