Patricia “Patty” (Johnson) Aasen, age 93, peacefully entered her heavenly home on October 14, 2020 in her home in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was born on November 30, 1926 to Carl and Mabel (Evanson) Johnson in Northwood, ND. She graduated from Aneta High School and attended one year at North Dakota Agricultural College which is now NDSU. She married Richard Aasen in Aneta, ND on June 24, 1945. She spent her married life on the family farm in rural Aneta. Upon retirement, they moved into Aneta and following Richard’s death she moved to Detroit Lakes in 2016. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoying quilting and counted cross stitch and was a ceramic artist. Patty is survived by three daughters, Susan (Neil) Flom, of Detroit Lakes, MN, Margaret DeLano, of Alpharetta, GA, and Elaine (Kip) Munford, of Apollo Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Michelle (Patrick) Donovan, Jeff (Stacy) Flom, Karin Flom, Jim (Victoria) DeLano, Paul (Bridget) DeLano, and Juliette Auger; fourteen great grandchildren, Christopher Donovan, Michael Donovan, Jonathan James Donovan, Nicholas Donovan, Garret Donovan, Daneille (Luke) Stortroen, Jonathan Willprecht, Levi Donovan, Hal Flom, Lilly Flom, James DeLano, Amelia DeLano, Megan DeLano, and Alyssa DeLano; one great-great grandson, Dominic Stortroen; one sister, Ruth (Frank) Green, of Pullman, WA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one daughter Carol Auger; one grandson, Matthew Flom; two sons-in-law, Tom Auger and David DeLano; one sister, Mary; and her parents. Memorial Services will be on Friday October 30, 2020; 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be on Saturday October 31, 2020; 2:00 p.m. at the Silent Hill Cemetery, Aneta, ND
