Paul N. Nybo age 74 of Detroit Lakes, MN died March 1, 2018 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND. Paul Norris Nybo was born September 26, 1943 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Norris and Mildred (Beck) Nybo. He grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1961. He then served in the United States Air Force. On February 18, 1965 he was united in marriage to Christine Maloney in Sisseton, SD. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. Over the years Paul worked for Westinghouse in Fargo, ND and Tri State Heating, Beverage Wholesalers, Lakeland Electric and most recently Green’s Plumbing and Modern Heating all of Detroit Lakes. Paul loved to play softball and golf. He also enjoyed feeding the deer and the birds. He was also very proud of his manicured lawn. His family described him by using the words, protector, determined, dedicated, strong, caring, and organized. He is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, Trevor (Kelly) Nybo, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Garrett (Stacy) Nybo, of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Tracey (Monte Duel) Ginnaty, of Pelican Rapids, MN; eight grandchildren; one sister, Noreen (Bill) Schroeder, of Wentzville, MO; one brother, David (Sheila) Nybo, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Scott Nybo; one sister, Nancy Nelsen; one half brother, Charles Anderson; and his parents.
