Ross Wesley Brennan, 40, of Frazee, MN, formerly Moorhead, died suddenly of natural causes on October 23, 2021, at his home. Ross was born on June 7, 1981, to Jack and Evie (Walsh) Brennan in Fargo, ND. He grew up in West Fargo, ND where he attended Eastwood Elementary and Grace Lutheran School. As a boy, Ross was shy, creative, and inquisitive. At age four, he could fully explain why the Challenger blew up and he decided at age five there was no way there was a Santa Claus, simply because he had spun a globe. Ross participated in Boy Scouts, Odyssey of the Mind, and various athletics.
He loved time at Spruce Hill Campground building forts and spending time on his grandparent's farm with his siblings and cousins. His love of tinkering began at a young age and he was known for his ability to figure out how to do things his way - be it mixing and matching GI Joes, tearing apart engines, or teaching himself to play guitar.
As a freshman at West Fargo High School, Ross' career in football was established. He was a standout football player for the West Fargo Packers, winning two state championships. His excellence on the field led to a college football career at the University of North Dakota, where he was part of another championship team. After earning his degree, he continued his football journey, playing arena league football for the Billings Outlaws in Billings, MT. Ross' football teammates were lifelong friends and he treasured that at each stage of his football career, especially with his little brother, Steve, on the field with him.
Over the years, Ross worked in Sales - Technology, Relocation, and Industrial Chemicals - he liked the challenge of getting the sale and the control it allowed him over his schedule.
Ross found his twin flame and love of his life, Diana Mack, in the fall of 2011. Their first child, Ross Edwin Joseph, was born in June of 2014. Ross and Diana married on top of a mountain in Colorado in March of 2017 and welcomed their second child, Roman Daniel Lane, in December of that same year. Ross was a devoted father and loved spending time with his boys, taking any opportunity to teach them to be strong and show them all the things he loved. He took great pride in the life he and Diana built together. "As a family" was his motto and it was important to him that they knew and felt that.
Ross was truly one of a kind. He did things his way. He loved music, fishing and relaxing at West McDonald Lake, playing guitar, and eating everything with hot sauce. Most of all, spending time with his nieces and nephews and being the best dad and husband that he knew how to be.
Ross is survived by his wife, Diana Brennan, and sons Ross and Roman; parents, Jack and Evie Brennan, siblings, Pastor Andrea (Jeff) Paulson, and Steve (Laura) Brennan, sisters-in-law, Jill (Randy) Brandt and Kelly (Mark) Schiffner, parents-in-law, Tom and Elaine Mack; nieces and nephews, Lucas, Alex, Lisa, and Amelia Paulson, JC, Lorraine, and Matthew Brennan, Zachary, Jourdan, and Blake Brandt, and Sydney, Drake, Violet, and Per Schiffner; maternal grandmother, Shirley Walsh; as well as several cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ross was preceded in death by twin infant brothers, Mark and Matthew, on October 29, 1978, grandparents Ross and Hazel Brennan and Wesley Walsh, aunts Kathy Anklam and Peggy Brennan-Johnson, and uncles Chuck Desper and Scott Fox and Terry Brennan.
